A successful person...

... finds something extraordinary in the most mundane and boring of things. Here are my 'unusuals' :

Monday. Black sesame ice cream from Japan on a regular dinner night with friends.

 

Tuesday. It is not everyday that you see contortionists on the streets--children even. They did this to raise funds for some school back in China.

Wednesday.Testing your face oil levels while waiting for the bus ride home. Guess which one was Art's!

Thursday.  Smiling to a person you always pass by on your way to work. I tried doing this to an Albino guy I always see everyday. Not with my goofy smile above, but just a simple one to imply " hey, we always pass by each other every morning! Good day!" I guess he was surprised to get a smile from me. The next day, he smiled back.

 Friday. In a country where IPhone is a necessity, finding a lady engrossed in cross-stitch while on the train to work, is indeed extraordinary! Believe it or not, there are still people doing the old stuff. (sorry no photo!)

 Saturday.  Movie or dinner with friends in a ridiculously expensive seafood restaurant.(150$ for 3 pcs of crab) 

 

Spanish Flamenco mass on a Sunday.

I am the type of person who gets bored quickly with routine. Looking for something extraordinary in each of my weekdays helps me survive boredom & dullness.

PS : All these entries about a successful person are mental notes to myself, right at the stage of my life where I seek success. These are thoughts I think of whenever I spend an hour or two traveling to and fro work.
